I'm a young, vivacious woman with terrible health. I'd like to blame genetics and situations beyond my control for this, but I know it is partly my fault. I decided I was sick of feeling like "twenty five is the new fifty two," so I changed my diet and lifestyle to help fix my declining health. No one my age should have a blood pressure of 190/110. This is where I write about it.

Trying to get back into the swing of things after being gone for a few days.
I had a very bad health scare while I was in Georgia, but it was alieviated yesterday at the doctors office. Basically I had some tests done that showed some a-typical cells. My doctor thought they could have been pre-cancerous, so I had to go in for further testing. He did not see any signs of a tumor or “suspicious cell growth,” but they did more tests just to be sure. There is nothing more unsettling than getting a phone call saying you might have cancer when you are states away from your close friends and family.
A big thing that worries me is that my blood pressure is at a constant 140/100. I was on medication for it then kind of slacked-off, but I need to get back on it again. I also need to make some lifestyle changes to help my cardiovascular health and circulatory system. I really don’t do much to plan-out my diet. Most days, I just “wing it” and grab whatever happens to be closest, or just snack. Honestly, I am afraid that this body of mine is going to shut down on me one of these days, and I am not quite ready for that yet.
As the title of mt blog states, I am twenty five, not fifty two.
